The Clinical Neuropsychology research group at the UIB was formally constituted in 2005 for studying the neural bases of human behaviour and for the application of this knowledge to the clinical practice. The research approach is interdisciplinary by mean of the methods of human neuropsychology, cognitive and computational neuroscience, neurology and behavioural therapy.
The Clinical Neuropsychology research group belongs to the Neuroscience Area of the University Institute of Health Science (Instituto Universitario de Ciencias de la Salud- IUNICS). Our research line combine new neuropsychological assessment protocols with modern functional and structural neuroimaging techniques (magnetic resonance imaging, digital electroence-phalography, magnetoencephalography, and event-related brain potentials).
The Clinical Neuropsychology research group belongs to the catalogue of Excellence Research Groups from the Balearic Islands, acknowledged by the Balear Government (PCTIB-2005GC2-08), and is member of the Spanish network on Cognitive Neuroscience, supported by the Ministry of Education and Science (SEJ2004-22481-E).
